Police initially believed Joshua Johnson, 18, was hurt in the collision in Rotherham on December 13 and that Trevor ‘TJ’ Wynn, 17, had died.

A Met Police traffic collision investigator said it was a case of 'pedal misapplication' by the defendant, and he found no evidence of a fault.
