Moroccan Ministry of National Education,Preschool and Sports,in collaboration with Huawei, has launched the 3rd edition of DigiSchool,a national program aimed at supporting the digital skills of students in rural zones and advancing the digital transformation of the education system.
Building on the success achieved during previous editions and the growing support of education stakeholders, this year DigiSchool marks a further step in the development of a more innovative, more inclusive Moroccan school system that is better connected to the skills of tomorrow.
Since its launch, the program has established itself as a structuring initiative designed to boost the integration of digital technologies in education, particularly in middle schools. By placing teachers and students at the heart of the initiative,DigiSchool turns digital technology into a concrete lever for learning, educational innovation, and openness to new perspectives.
This new campaign includes the mobilization of 60 alumni teachers to support the training sessions,as well as the training of 300 new teachers across the Kingdom’s twelve regions.
Through a cascade training model,DigiSchool also aims to reach an additional 5,000 teachers indirectly. On the student side,12,500 young people will be directly involved in DigiSchool clubs, while another 50,000 will be indirectly introduced to technology and innovation.
DigiSchool 2026 stands out for its approach which combines training, support, experimentation, and practical application in order to create a framework conducive to the emergence of new teaching practices. It is built around the creation of 300 DigiSchool clubs in schools, while also incorporating an openness to the educational ecosystem through the training of parents’ associations, via teachers,on issues related to resource mobilization and participatory funding.
The program content covers both pedagogical skills and emerging technologies. Teachers and students will therefore be supported on cross-cutting themes such as design thinking, project management, sustainability, business modeling applied to IT projects, environmental and competitive analysis, data management, fundraising, business development,as well as the art of presentation and pitching. Particular attention will also be paid to EdTech and pedagogy in the digital age,in order to promote useful, practical, and sustainable uses of technology in learning.
