Stellantis,a multinational automotive manufacturing Corporation, has opened in Casablanca a center dedicated to vehicle dismantling and parts reuse.

The €1.6 million facility supports Morocco’s sustainable ecosystem by extending product lifespan, reducing environmental impact and optimizing the use of resources across the automotive value chain.

The new site is the first of its kind for the Company in Morocco and across the Middle East and Africa region, the third for Stellantis SUSTAINera worldwide.

“Morocco plays a strategic role in Stellantis’ regional footprint, and the launch of this Circular Economy Dismantling Center reflects our commitment to developing sustainable automotive solutions while supporting local economic development,” said Yves Peyrot Des Gachons,Managing Director of Stellantis Morocco.

“Through initiatives like this,we are expanding our circular economy ecosystem and contributing to a more responsible and resource-efficient mobility industry,” he added.

The center is expected to create several direct and indirect jobs, contributing to the development of specialized skills in vehicle dismantling, parts inspection, logistics and circular economy operations.

The 6,000 m2 site features operational wings, including vehicle reception, depollution, dismantling zones, quality inspection stations, validation and storage spaces for recovered parts before redistribution.

With an annual dismantling capacity of up to 10,000 vehicles, the center will enable the systematic recovery of fully functional reusable components from end-of-life vehicles sourced through insurance partners, auctions and ELV (End-of-Life Vehicle) channels.

After rigorous quality checks, these components will be reintegrated into the aftermarket ecosystem, extending their lifespan while providing customers and repair professionals with reliable and more affordable replacement parts.
