Angola boosts diversified economy: 1.45 B USD and 37,000 jobs

Among the most notable initiatives,Crescer stands out as a youth employment engine,generating 37,000 direct jobs and 112,000 indirect jobs,with at least half reserved for young women. It will also train 100,000 youth in digital and technical skills,support over 10,000 micro,small,and medium enterprises,and strengthen 40 business support organizations.

Innovation is also at the forefront. The Science and Technology Park promotes research and entrepreneurship,while the Lobito Corridor,with a joint investment of 120 million USD,boosts regional trade and entrepreneurial activity. Of the 16 strategic projects,3 are specifically focused on digitalization and technological innovation to accelerate economic diversification.

The African Development Bank serves as a strategic partner,aligning its investments with Angola’s National Development Plan and Vision 2050 Strategy. Since 1980,the Bank has approved 3.36 billion USD in loans and grants in the country,consolidating its role as a key ally in economic transformation.

Through these initiatives,Angola is advancing a development model based on employment,innovation,and inclusion,paving the way toward a diversified and resilient economy by 2050.
