Morocco has secured sixth place in Forbes and Kayak’s prestigious ranking of must-visit destinations for the rest of the year 2025,positioning the North African kingdom alongside diverse locations from Nordic fjords to tropical coastlines. The comprehensive guide highlights destinations promising unforgettable experiences through unique combinations of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and historical significance.

Zimbabwe claims the top position, described as a rugged wilderness mosaic featuring rich ancestral heritage, the ancient stone city,Victoria Falls, and the Eastern Highlands. Lithuania follows in second place with its ancient forests, hidden lakes, medieval streets of Vilnius, and golden dunes of the Curonian Spit. Sri Lanka completes the top three with palm-lined coasts and tropical forests.

Morocco’s sixth-place ranking, following South Korea (fourth) and Argentina (fifth),celebrates the kingdom as a shimmering mirage where red Sahara dunes stretch in silence while the snow-capped High Atlas rises above olive-bordered valleys. Forbes particularly recommends Fez,with narrow shadowed alleys winding through the medina past mosaic-paved courtyards and the distinctive scent of leather tanning vats.

Marrakech earns praise for buzzing with metalworkers’ clanging and merchants’ calls beneath ochre walls, while lantern-lit rooftop cafés overlook minarets. Coastal Essaouira features salty winds rattling blue shutters as seagulls circle salt-stained ramparts. Inland attractions include gnarled olive groves and twisted argan trees dotting cinnamon-colored hills, with Berber villages clinging to slopes sculpted by centuries of footsteps. Chefchaouen receives special mention as the crown jewel.

The ranking continues with Norway (seventh),Moldova (eighth),Hong Kong (ninth),and Denmark (tenth),establishing Morocco among elite global destinations combining natural wonders with authentic cultural experiences.
