Libya’s Acting Minister of Oil and Gas,Khalifa Abdelsadiq,has called for stronger international partnerships to enhance energy security,stressing that effective policies are essential for stabilising markets and advancing the global energy transition.
Speaking at the Gastech 2025 Conference in Milan,he emphasised the strategic role of natural gas in diversifying the energy mix and supporting the shift toward cleaner energy sources.
Abdelsadiq also highlighted rising global demand and ongoing geopolitical tensions as major challenges,urging the adoption of innovative financing models to boost investment and technology deployment. The Ministry of Oil and Gas said Libya’s participation in the forum reflects its commitment to global energy security,sustainable development,and positioning itself as a reliable partner in the international energy sector.
