Hundreds of loyal customers of ‘Miss KFC’ who she served over nearly five decades turned out to applaud her funeral procession as it passed by her beloved chicken shop.

Pauline Richards,74,started at the branch in Taunton in Somerset in 1978 and worked nearly every possible role – cleaner, cashier, supervisor, manager and team leader over the years.

Pauline set the record for the longest-serving KFC employee in the world serving up an estimated 5,000,000 drumsticks before she tragically passed away with cancer.

The Taunton branch will open up two hours later than usual tomorrow as a mark of respect to the local legend.
