A woman stabbed to death in Romford,east London,was known to a man who died on train tracks hours earlier.
Concerns for the welfare of the unnamed woman in her 60s were raised yesterday at around 9pm.
She was found suffering multiple stab wounds at a home in Busy Close,in the Collier Row neighbourhood,before dying at the scene.
A murder investigation has been launched.
Investigators have connected her death with that of a 20-year-old man who died on the train tracks of Romford station earlier that day.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after paramedics arrived just after 1.20pm.
The British Transport Police (BTP) is treating the man’s death as non-suspicious,adding that he and the woman knew one another.
