Equatorial Guinea: Dreams Hub Selects Top Green Innovations by Women and Youth, Funded by OIF

Dreams Hub,a leading center for leadership,entrepreneurship,and innovation,has successfully concluded the selection phase of its Environmental Technology and Innovation Acceleration Program for women and youth in the Congo Basin. Following a nationwide call and strong participation from across the country,the program now enters a new phase focused on intensive training and specialized technical support for the selected initiatives.

Of the total projects selected,82% are based in Malabo,16% in Bata,and the remaining 2% from other cities such as Oyala and Akonibe. In terms of gender representation,63% of participants are men and 32% women. Regarding project maturity,65% are in the ideation phase,32% in prototype development,while 2% are already established and another 2% in the growth stage.

Most of the selected proposals combine technology and sustainability to address environmental challenges at both local and regional levels. Through this program,participants will receive strategic guidance,mentorship,access to funding opportunities,and greater visibility,fostering women and youth leadership in the transition toward more inclusive and sustainable development models.

Funded by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and supported technically by Kosala (Congo),the program strengthens regional cooperation in environmental innovation. As the implementing partner in Equatorial Guinea,Dreams Hub reaffirms its commitment to building a vibrant entrepreneurial,tech,and green ecosystem in the country. This new phase marks a pivotal step toward implementing sustainable solutions led by a new generation of eco-entrepreneurs and green leaders.
