The French Embassy hosted a vibrant celebration on the occasion of France’s National Day,marking not just a historic date but a renewed chapter in French-Moroccan relations.

Held at the French Residence, the event welcomed some 2,500 guests, including high-ranking Moroccan officials, diplomats, business leaders, and members of the French community in Morocco.

The evening was filled with music, cultural exchanges, and heartfelt speeches that underscored the deepening ties between the two nations.

France’s ambassador to Morocco, opened the evening with a powerful message:

“Together,Morocco and France,we are not afraid of ambition. We are determined to ‘think big.’ In a world in crisis,in a region searching for direction,we are going to build something truly unique,” he said.

“In the Sahara,France has matched words with action across all areas of cooperation: education, culture, economy, development projects, and visas. Starting this year, residents of the southern provinces will have access to the same services and support from us as those in other Moroccan regions,” he said.

He reiterated France’s recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the southern provinces or the Sahara and underscored the Kingdom’s role as a bridge between Africa and Europe.

“Dialogue between Africa and Europe can only be achieved through Morocco,” he said.

“What is being written with Morocco is,indeed,France’s most important commitment with another nation, beyond the framework of the European Union,” he said.
