The African football governing body has announced the opening of an investigation into the Algerian Women’s National Team violations of legal brandings & rights of sponsors at the ongoing CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations,Morocco 2024.

The investigation was opened after Algerian team posted photos on social media networks omitting “Morocco-2024”,host country of the African tournament, the logos of “Royal Air Maroc” (Official carrier of the event) and concealing with black adhesive duct tape the logos of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.

These provocative acts represent a blatant violation of the legal rights of sponsors, their logos, titles, symbols and other identifiers. They prompted a widespread mockery and indignation over an irrational behavior against sportsmanship. They also undermine CAF image, credibility and efforts of attracting investors and sponsors.
