U.S. Senior Advisor for Africa Massad Boulos had met separately with Moroccan Delegate Minister for Investment Karim Zidane and Algerian Secretary of State for Africa Mansouri on the sidelines of the U.S.-Africa Business Summit held lately in Luanda,Angola.
The announcements were made by Boulos on his X account. During the U.S.-Africa Business Summit,“I had the pleasure of meeting with Moroccan Minister of Investment Zidane to discuss expanding our commercial ties in the aviation and energy sectors,paving the way for innovation and shared growth”,said the U.S advisor.
“I also met with Algerian Secretary of State for Africa Mansouri and we reaffirmed our mutual commitment to driving peace and prosperity in Africa”,said in another post.
These announcements come after the U.S.-brokered peace deal between Congo & Rwanda and coincides with the mini-Africa Summit hosted by U.S. President Donald starting July 9.
The leaders of Gabon,Guinea-Bissau,Liberia,Mauritania and Senegal will be hosted by Trump for a discussion and lunch at the White House.
“President Trump believes that African countries offer incredible commercial opportunities which benefit both the American people and our African partners,” said a White House official on the reasons why the meeting was arranged.
