The Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),have commended the role of King Mohammed VI as Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, his ongoing efforts to protect the holy sites in Al Quds Asharif,as well as his initiatives in favor of Africa.

The OIC ministerial council, which held its 51st session in Istanbul June 21–22,adopted a resolution on “The Capital of the State of Palestine,Al Quds Asharif” wherein it commended the significant role played by Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency through the implementation of several development projects benefiting the population of the holy city and supporting its resistance.

The Declaration also welcomed the efforts of the Al Quds Committee, under the chairmanship of King Mohammed VI,and its executive branch,Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency,in preserving the identity of the holy city as a symbol of tolerance and coexistence among the three monotheistic religions, and in upholding its legal status.

During the session, the Agency made a presentation on its ongoing humanitarian initiatives in support of Palestinians in Al-Quds and Gaza and distributed to the participating delegations a document detailing these initiatives benefitting the Palestinians, particularly in light of the consequences of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

The initiatives included distribution of food aid and drinking water to the neediest families in Al-Quds and Gaza during Ramadan and Eid Al-Adha,the launch of the production of prosthetic limbs for some 300 children who suffered amputations during the war,and the launch of a care program for 500 orphans who lost their parents in the war.
