What’s the first thing you do after wining the lottery? Have 10 cups of tea,I guess.
That was the answer of Jon Waring,57,and his partner Lucy,48,when they woke up to discover he’d won the £3.9 million Lotto Jackpot from May 31.
The pair have now decided to quit both their jobs too and have put a Harley-Davidson at the top of their wish list.
Rock fan Jon played Lotto each week since the game started before waking up at 4am on June 1 to check his ticket.
His Lotto numbers were 8,11,12,16,20 and 33 and he matched all six to claim the multi-million pound jackpot.
What are your chances of winning the lottery?
According to the National Lottery website, the odds of winning the jackpots are:
Thunderball top prize: 1 in 8,060,598
Lotto jackpot: 1 in 45,057,474
EuroMillions jackpot: 1 in 139,838,160
Set For Life top prize: 1 in 15,339,390
Before you go rushing out to buy a Thunderball ticket or two (or three),here,it’s important to put the odds into perspective.
There are many things more likely to happen than winning the lottery.
According to Save The Student, you are almost five times more likely to be struck by lightning,64 times more likely to be crushed by a meteorite, and 4,000 times more likely to win an Oscar.
‘We are now really looking forward to booking something and knowing we can just holiday when we choose! Perhaps a trip to New Orleans for the music.
‘It’s all the things you dream about trying and seeing but know you never will – until something like this happens!’
The biker dad wants to buy a Harley-Davidson trike bike first thing, while mum Lucy has a hot tub in her sights.
They also want to upscale their family house, finding one big enough to hold a music room with a guitar display.

Their new crib will also need a driveway big enough to hold the new car Jon wants to buy – an Audi Q7.
He added,‘It’s a complete change of lifestyle – it won’t change us,but it will change what we can do! And the pace at which we do it too.’
The Warings are one of more than 7,400 people who have won millions through The National Lottery since its launch in 1994.
Their win came just weeks before one lucky person from Ireland scooped a £208 million EuroMillions jackpot.
