A set of twins who witnessed a terrifying crime have raised eyebrows over the way they behaved on camera.

Bridgette and Paula Powers saw their mother being threatened by an alleged gunman after a crash on the Bruce Highway in Queensland,Australia.

One woman died in the crash, and a good Samaritan was shot in the arm as the carjacker ran away from the scene.

The Powers twins saw the entire incident unfold first-hand – but rather than the substance of their eyewitness testimony, people have been wondering how on earth they were able to answer questions in sync.

Now the footage of their interview with 7 News has gone viral,as viewers question how they managed to give such a perfectly synchronised interview.

They said their mother, who had rushed to help a crash victim, suddenly found herself confronting the alleged gunman.

‘And one guy,he was up there with our mum… she goes,“run,he’s got a gun”,’ the sisters said together.

‘And our heart started to pound. And I said,“Oh,mum, where’s mum?” – and poor mum was stuck up there.

‘Our brave mum,she goes,“Are you alright?” because he had all blood all over his face and he goes,“I’ll shoot you”.

‘She goes “hey I’m here to help” and she tried to distract him to make him look the other way.

‘All I was thinking about when we were running was “I hope he doesn’t fire”,we were so blessed.’

Their mum distracted the alleged gunman and bolted into the surrounding bushland. He followed her and said he would ‘find you and I’ll shoot you’,but thankfully the twins and their mother were able to escape safely.

Bridgette and Paula have previously been featured in the news after they revealed they wear matching clothes every single day,and even have their own made up language.
