The White House’s official website has revealed a new page, detailing what it calls the ‘lab leak’,or ‘true origins’ of Covid-19.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly said he was right for previously saying that the coronavirus originated from a Wuhan lab.

And last spring,a study concluded that the pandemic most likely originated in a lab.

The origin of the pandemic has long been contentious.

Some believe the virus was a ‘zoonotic spillover event’ and spread from animals to humans, possibly at the wet market in Wuhan, China, where the disease was first reported.

But the White House’s new ‘Lab Leak’ page has written: ‘The Proximal Origin of SARS-Cov-2 publication — which was used repeatedly by public health officials and the media to discredit the lab leak theory — was prompted by Dr. Fauci to push the preferred narrative that COVID-19 originated naturally.’

The lengthy web page went on to list five reasons why Coronavirus was a ‘lab leak’.

They are listed as follows:

The virus possesses a biological characteristic that is not found in nature.

Data shows that all COVID-19 cases stem from a single introduction into humans. This runs contrary to previous pandemics where there were multiple spillover events.

Wuhan is home to China’s foremost SARS research lab, which has a history of conducting gain-of-function research (gene altering and organism supercharging) at inadequate biosafety levels.

Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) researchers were sick with COVID-like symptoms in the fall of 2019,months before COVID-19 was discovered at the wet market.

By nearly all measures of science,if there was evidence of a natural origin,it would have already surfaced. But it hasn’t.

It also featured a photo of Anthony Fauci, who was pardoned by Joe Biden (Picture: White House)

It also featured a photo of Dr Anthony Fauci, the United States’ previous leading COVID-19 expert.

Former President Joe Biden pardoned Dr Fauci before Trump re-entered the White House, and this was highlighted on the new virus web page.

Biden pardoned Fauci pre-emptively after years of threats from Trump claiming he would investigate Fauci if in office.

A portion of Dr Fauci’s pardon was mentioned: ‘A full and unconditional pardon for any offences against the United States which he may have committed or taken part in.’

The new web page also accused the US Department of Health and Human Services of ‘engaging in a multi-year campaign of delay, confusion, and non-responsiveness in an attempt to obstruct the Select Subcommittee’s investigation and hide evidence that could incriminate or embarrass senior public health officials.’

The White House has also slammed the World Health Organisation for its response to the pandemic, deeming it an ‘abject failure because it caved to pressure from the Chinese Communist Party and placed China’s political interests ahead of its international duties.’

The White House’s new page on COVID-19 is a sharp turn from President Biden’s previous approach to the virus and research on the pandemic in general.

President Trump was previously quoted as saying,‘Now everybody is agreeing that I was right when I very early on called Wuhan the source of COVID-19,sometimes referred to as the China Virus.

‘To me it was obvious from the beginning but I was badly criticised,as usual.’

The World Health Organisation is still working to identify the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, which swept the globe and is thought to have killed more than three million people.
