A teenage boy and a teenage girl have been arrested after a baby suffering ‘unexplained injuries’ was taken to hospital.
Police sealed off a home in Railway Street in Grimsby after the infant arrived at a local hospital on Monday morning.
Officers who are still working to ascertain the cause of the injuries.
A Humberside Police spokesman said: ‘Investigations are underway in Grimsby after we received a report that a baby had been presented at hospital with serious injuries in the early hours of this morning (Monday,9 March 2026).’
DI Gemma Walker said: ‘An investigation has been launched whilst we carry out multiple lines of enquires to establish the full circumstances surrounding the baby’s injuries,which are currently being treated as unexplained.
