The Spanish think tank Real Instituto Elcano considers United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 on the Sahara a decisive turning point in favor of Morocco.

In its analysis,the prestigious institute for international and strategic studies emphasizes that this resolution consolidates the predominance of Morocco’s approach to resolving the regional dispute through the Autonomy Plan; hailed by the international community as “serious,credible,and realistic.”

Resolution 2797 reflects the growing international recognition of Morocco’s constructive role and underscores its solid credibility on both regional and global levels,Real Instituto Elcano points out,highlighting Morocco’s regional leadership as the result of active diplomacy and a comprehensive development policy implemented under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.
