
The 93rd session of the INTERPOL General Assembly will be held in Marrakesh November 24 to 27 to address several topics related to the expansion of INTERPOL’s global policing capabilities and coordination in the fight against transnational organized crime and transnational scam centers.
In addition to approving the Organization’s future activities,strategic framework and budget,this session of the General Assembly will discuss Women in policing,“Silver Notice” pilot project results and the ratification of the United Nations’ Convention Against Cybercrime.
According to INTERPOL press release,the Marrakesh Assembly will also vote for new members of the Executive Committee,including the President,as their respective mandates come to an end.
The General Assembly is INTERPOL’s supreme governing body and comprises delegates appointed by the governments of member countries.
It meets once a year and takes all the major decisions related to general policy,the resources needed for international cooperation,working methods,and finances.
