A father is thought to have strangled his six-year-old daughter in a suspected murder-suicide in Dublin.
The man and the girl, named locally as Krzysztof and Julia Daczkowski, were found dead at a property on the Heathfield estate in the Cappagh area of Finglas on Saturday.
A neighbour had heard the horrific screams of the mother, named locally as Aga,as she discovered the bodies at around 8pm.
Emergency services, including ambulance and fire crews,as well as gardaí appeared at the scene soon after.
Gardaí,Ireland’s state police force, have ruled out any forced entry or third-party involvement in the incident, according to Dublin Live.
A source said the force suspects it was a murder-suicide and the father strangled the girl, the Irish Mirror reports.
It’s understood the family are from Poland originally and Krzysztof worked as a bus driver. They had been living on the estate for some time.
The bodies were removed from the house around midday on Sunday and taken for post-mortem examinations.

One resident told the Irish Mirror how a neighbour had heard the mum’s scream: ‘She came out to a horrible scream. It was the mother. She’d just come home from work and found them.’
Residents said their children had played with the girl in the playground opposite the family’s home.
One added: ‘It’s very hard. Like we don’t know what to be telling our children. It’s just horrific.
‘We’d always say hello to the family. My girls thought there was a movie being recorded this morning because of the cameras so I just said yeah that’s right.’
Another told how they’d seen the father spend all summer teaching the girl how to ride a bike without stabilisers.
The family were described as ‘quiet’.
The councillor for Ballymun-Finglas,Conor Reddy, sent his condolences to the loved ones of those involved.
He said: ‘It’s so tragic for the community. The neighbourhood is shocked to its core. My condolences to the family and loved ones.’
A gardaí spokesperson said on Sunday: ‘The coroner has been notified and the services of the Office of the State Pathologist have been requested.
‘Post-mortem examinations will be arranged in due course.
‘The results of these examinations will assist gardai in determining the course of the investigation.’
There were no updates from gardaí on Monday morning.
