An armed police officer was left with a slashed hand after a confrontation with a man allegedly seen ‘wielding a sword and a knife’.

The officer suffered a cut to his hand during the stand off,which saw someone tasered.

It followed reports of a man ‘with two bladed weapons’ at around 7.45am in Worcester Close,Kent.

Armed police were dispatched to the scene where they spoke to a man allegedly acting in a threatening manner.

A police officer then discharged a fire at the suspect,who was reportedly seen ‘wielding a sword and a knife’ earlier,according to KentOnline.
