Morocco’s King presides over swearing-in ceremony of officers graduating from military schools, names class after “Sultan Ahmed Al-Mansour Al-Dhahabi”

King Mohammed VI,Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR),accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid,presided over the swearing-in ceremony of officers who graduated from the major military and paramilitary institutes and schools,as well as officers from the ranks.

During the ceremony that took place Thursday afternoon at the Mechouar Square in the Royal Palace of Tetouan,on the celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Sovereign’s accession to the Throne,the King named this graduating class after “Sultan Ahmed Al-Mansour Al-Dahbi,” and awarded stripes to newly promoted officers for the year 2025.

In an address on the occasion,the Monarch commended the competence and capabilities of the various components of Morocco’s military and security forces as they fulfill their national,social and humanitarian duties.

He said he decided to name this year’s Group of Graduates after Sultan Ahmed Al-Mansour Al-Dahbi,“one of Morocco’s great monarchs.” “His era was characterized by progress and stability across the country,as well as by openness to Africa south of the Sahara,and closer ties with Europe,” the Monarch said,urging the graduates “to live up to all this name stands for: namely a keen sense of patriotism,commitment to the nation’s sacred values,integrity,and discipline,while remaining loyal to your everlasting motto: “God,the Homeland,the King.”

The 2025 classes sworn-in include graduates of the Active Officers’ Schools (the Royal Military Academy,the Royal Air School,the Royal Naval School,and the Royal School of Military Health Service) and Paramilitary Establishments (the Royal Institute of Territorial Administration,the Royal Institute of Police,the National School of Civil Protection,the Mohammedia School of Engineers,the National School of Forest Engineers,the Customs Training School,and the Mohammed VI International Civil Aviation Academy).

There are also the graduates from the Special Cycle,as well as the officers from the ranks appointed in 2024 and the remainders of previous graduating classes,from the Royal Armed Forces,the Royal Gendarmerie and the Auxiliary Forces.

On Tuesday,the Monarch had received at the Royal Palace in Tetouan,the Promotion Commission of Royal Armed Forces,Royal Gendarmerie,Royal Guard and Auxiliary Forces personnel and approved the promotion table submitted to him for the advancement of officer and non-officer personnel for the year 2025.
