The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency implemented the fifth phase of Morocco’s humanitarian aid campaign for 500 displaced families in the municipality of Azzawayda,in the center of the Gaza Strip, with the contribution of the Moroccan Association to Support Reconstruction in Palestine.
Given the difficult humanitarian conditions experienced by all residents of the Strip, the Agency has established specific criteria for the distribution of food aid, giving priority to the most needy families, namely those headed by widows or persons with disabilities,as well as families caring for orphans who have lost both parents.
The food baskets, delivered directly to beneficiaries to avoid the risks associated with traveling to warehouses, contain flour and various varieties of fresh vegetables.
A food basket costs approximately $100,whereas the same quantity of products used to cost no more than $10 before the war.
The beneficiary families expressed their gratitude to King Mohammed VI,Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for this significant initiative in favor of the Palestinian people.
Similarly, they expressed their immense joy and deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco, the King, the government, and the people for their support and assistance, affirming that this initiative comes at the right time to relieve Palestinian families.
