A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman more than 30 years ago.
Thirty-one year old Shona Stevens was discovered injured in the Bourtreehill Park area of Irvine,North Ayrshire on Thursday,10 November,1994.
The mum-of-one later died in hospital from her injuries three days later.
A man aged 67 has now been arrested in connection with her death.

My mum deserves justice. My gran,who is now 90,deserves justice. So do I.’Shona was last seen walking down a street near her home after visiting shops at around 1.30pm.She was later found on a footpath to the back of Alder Green with severe wounds.

I am grateful for their information and input which contributed to our investigation.’
