Idaho murderer Bryan Kohberger sat with a mysterious black heart drawing in front of him and stared coldly at the loved ones of four students he stabbed dead,as they spoke to him directly for the first time.

Kohberger,30,appeared emotionless and at times furrowed his brows and looked tense during a hearing on his agreed-upon sentence from a plea deal sparing him of the death penalty.

He wore orange prison clothing after losing the privilege to wear civilian clothes by confessing to the quadruple murders and accepting life in prison.

Who drew the black heart, which was surrounded by a more colorful square and had a pen near it,was not immediately known.

When asked about the drawing on a white piece of paper after the hearing, prosecutor Bill Thompson said it was the ‘first I’ve heard of it’,according to the New York Post.

Kohberger seemed to never look at the sketch, instead glaring stoically at victims’ family members as they delivered emotional impact statements.

His sentencing hearing at the Ada County Courthouse in Boise on Wednesday was the first opportunity for the families of the slain University of Idaho students to address him face-to-face.

‘Maddie was taken senselessly and brutally in a sudden act of evil,’ said Scott Laramie, the stepfather of victim Madison Mogen,21.

‘We are so sorry for the grief and the pain you have experienced at the hands of such a vicious and evil killer,’ said Leavitt.

‘Our nation grieves with you,and we will never forget the precious souls who were lost in this horrific act of evil.’

Leavitt revealed that Trump continues to believe that Kohberger should have to explain what he did.

‘If it were up to the president,’ she said,‘He would have forced this monster to publicly explain why he chose to steal these innocent souls.’
