Lt. General Mohamed El Abbar,inspector of the Royal Armed Forces Military Health Service (FAR),paid on Tuesday a working visit to Nouakchott to foster cooperation ties between the two countries’ armies in areas of common interest.
The Moroccan delegation was received by Defense minister Hanane Ould Sidi in presence of his close military aides. Talks focused on the Moroccan-Mauritian Joint Military Commission agenda and the shared commitment to strengthen coordination in strategic areas.
The Moroccan military delegation was also received by Brigadier-General Mohamed Mokhtar Maani,Deputy Chief of Staff of the Mauritanian Armed Forces in presence of Colonel Mohamed Taleb Jeddou,Director-General of Health Service of Mauritania’s Armed Forces and Colonel Sheikh Mohamed El Amine Bilal.
They discussed ways of strengthening partnership and coordination in military medicine,exchange of experience and training programs.
Military medicine includes the medical care and support provided to military personnel,focusing on both combat-related injuries and illnesses,as well as general healthcare for service members and their families. It also includes preventive medicine,treatment of injuries,and management of health issues specific to military life,both in deployed and non-deployed settings.
