Trump said ‘nobody knows what I’m going to do’,but he can say this: ‘Iran’s got a lot of trouble, and they want to negotiate. And I said, why didn’t you negotiate with me before all this death and destruction? Why didn’t you go?

‘I said to people, why didn’t you negotiate with me two weeks ago?’

Warships and fighter ships are being assembled by the US military into the Middle East, with US strikes on targets insie Iran including nuclear facilities were ‘on the table’.

Trump abandoned the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Canada earlier than expected on Tuesday as the conflict between Iran and Israel escalated.

‘We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding,’ wrote Trump on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday afternoon, referring to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

‘He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!),at least not for now.

‘But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians,or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.’

Fears are rising about an intervention by the US,which would be a ‘recipe for an all-out war’,according to Esmail Baghaei,a spokesperson for the Iranian foreign ministry.

Israel branched out to cyberwarfare with ‘massive’ attacks on Iran’s internet and other communication networks.

Britain’s Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said he will chair an emergency meeting later on today to discuss the security situatuon.

Trump arrived at the White House Situation Room late afternoon Tuesday to meet with his top national security advisers.

Four American B-52 Stratofortress bombers, which can carry nuclear weapons, are already stationed at the Diego Garcia base off the Indian Ocean and prepared to strike if called upon.

Trump urged Tehran’s 9.5million residents to flee for their safety on social media.

Trump also wrote: ‘We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran.

‘Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it,but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.”’

Just hours earlier,British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he had heard ‘nothing’ from Trump indicating that he was planning to involve western leaders in pushing for de-escalation in the Iran-Israel conflict.

‘I don’t think anything that the president said either here or elsewhere suggests that’ the US will get involved,Starmer told reporters at the summit on Tuesday.

Starmer noted a statement that G7 leaders sent out late Monday pushing for ‘de-escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, including a ceasefire in Gaza’.

‘Throughout the dinner yesterday I was sitting right next to President Trump,so I’ve no doubt,in my mind, the level of agreement there was in relation to the words that were then issued immediately after that,’ said the prime minister.

Trump seems to be edging toward getting the US more involved in the conflict.

It represents a sudden about-face from Trump’s statement that a nuclear deal with Iran was still ‘achievable’.

Trump’s new warning came two days after Trump reportedly vetoed Israel’s plan to assassinate the ayatollah.

Meanwhile,Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Natanyahu on Monday responded to questions around his apparent disagreement with Trump by saying,‘I wouldn’t rush to conclusions.’
