Western Cape police are investigating the deaths of two teenagers in separate incidents in different areas in Cape Town.

Two teenagers were shot and killed in separate incidents in Cape Town on Thursday.

In the first incident,an 18-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to his face in Mohan Cresent,Gatesville,on Thursday afternoon.

Western Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said when police arrived at the scene,the victim was declared dead.

“The motive for the attack is yet to be established,and the suspects are yet to be arrested,” said Twigg.

A murder case was registered for investigation.

Twigg said that in a separate incident on Thursday in Mitchells Plain,a 17-year-old boy was shot dead,and a 35-year-old man injured.

He said police had responded to a shooting in Rolbal Street,Beacon Valley,and found the victims with gunshot wounds.

The boy was declared dead on the scene by medical personnel,while the man was taken to a medical facility for treatment.

According to reports,Twigg said the victims were sitting on the side of the road when a Volkswagen Polo stopped next to them.

“The occupants opened fire on the victims before fleeing the scene,” he added.
