A determined woman has led a one-person protest against unnecessarily loud revving in one of London’s swankiest areas.
Footage filmed in Mount Street,Mayfair last week caught the moment the woman took umbrage at an Aston Martin driver who was apparently revving the engine too loudly.
The woman walked into the middle of the road and held her arms out to signal for the £180,000 car to come to a stop – and a loud voice could be heard shouting before she walked into the frame of the video.
The car came to a stop a couple of feet away from the woman, and the driver could be seen gesticulating as if to encourage her to get out of the road.
Approaching the car and stopping just inches from the bonnet with her hands behind her back, she complained to the driver about the car’s loud volume – with her protest drawing ire from a taxi driver who tried to squeeze past.
While it’s difficult to make out exactly what the woman was saying, due to the surrounding traffic noise in the footage,we can guess the driver heard what was being said as their windows were rolled down.

The woman’s words seem to have been in vain however as,after storming away, the Aston Martin driver drove off, loudly revving the engine as they went.
The confrontation drew attention from passersby on the paths, with several people filming what was going on.
However it’s not clear whether they were recording the confrontation or just admiring the red Aston Martin.
Responses to the video clip are divided, with some pointing out the woman’s voice was louder than the car’s exhaust at some points.
‘The most miserable people always think they know best for everyone else,’ one person commented, while another said: ‘She screams louder than the exhaust,so she is the one disturbing the peace.’

While this Aston Martin in particular probably wouldn’t be considered a supercar, there is another London supercar which has raised eyebrows for years.
The pink McLaren worth around £150,000 spent several years parked outside the London Renaissance Hotel in King’s Cross, rarely moving from its spot since 2020.
It’s certainly an eyecatching colour, even visible on Google street view,so it’s no wonder locals were surprised to see it had disappeared earlier this year.
But for those who enjoy catching a glimpse of the pink McLaren on their commute, never fear as the supercar was due to return after its owner returned from taking it on a holiday.
